Typhoons are a risk that can be predicted using weather forecasts. In summer, typhoons that form over the ocean south of Japan move north along the edge of the Pacific high pressure system, and move from west to east due to westerly winds. Forecasts are constantly changing depending on changes in speed and course, so it is important to keep up to date with the latest information. However, even if the typhoon is far away, it can stimulate the front near Japan, causing severe weather. Caution is required.

Mountain hut cancellation

It is reckless to attempt to climb Mt. Fuji when stormy weather due to typhoons is clearly expected. Please postpone your climb until the next opportunity when the weather allows you to climb safely. However, it is no good to cancel without contacting the mountain hut where you are planning to stay. The mountain hut prepares for the guest, and if the person does not arrive on the day of the trip without contacting them, they worry that something may have happened. However, it would be selfish to simply cancel the event just because of a light rain. In some cases, cancellations may be considered to be due to personal reasons and a cancellation fee may be charged.

In addition, please be sure to read the detailed climate characteristics and precautions during the opening period.
