100 Scenes with Mt.Fuji
The wonders of Mt. Fuji is being promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and surrounding prefectures and municipalities. As part of the 80th anniversary of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park designation, "100 scenes with Mt. Fuji" has been compiled with views from Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park and the surrounding area.
Especially, you can feel the wonder of Mt. Fuji and the "beautiful scenery and nature, and the culture rooted in it". For example, beautiful nature and Mt. Fuji, characteristic scenery such as Diamond Fuji and enjoy the splendor of the scenery that is the subject of art works such as ukiyo-e.

Recommendation for the history of Fujizuka (Fuji mounds), Fujiko (climbing group), Mt. Fuji 5th Station and descending Mt. Fuji.

In the surrounding area of Mt. Fuji, there are many historical and cultural resources such as many Sengen shrines, Fujiko mountain climbing groups that were popular in the Edo period. On June 22nd, 2013, it was registered as the 13th World Cultural Heritage Site in Japan under the name of "Fujisan, sacred place and source of artistic inspiration."

Relax and climb safely
On Mt. Fuji, you can see the beautiful sunrise even if you are not on the summit.
In order to see the sunrise at the summit, you must leave your hut in the middle of the night and climb up the rocky area depending on the light from your headlights.
However, for example, if you enjoy the sunrise at your hut  then head for the summit after it gets light. You can see your feet well and enjoy a comfortable climb with less traffic.

　You can see the sunrise from anywhere above the 5th station.

＜Subashiri trail＞

　Once you pass through the forest area you can see the sunrise from anywhere. 

＜Gotemba trail＞

　You can see the sunrise from anywhere on the trail. 

＜Fujinomiya trail＞

　You can see the sunrise from the new 7th station and above.
　　(Conditions may change depending on the season.)

At the 5th station of the Yoshida trail, behind the Komitake-jinja Shrine, there is an observation deck that offers a dynamic view of the summit as well as the sunrise.。
